What is a BRUCHA Panel?

BRUCHA Panels are sandwich panels consisting of two sandwich elements rigidly connected to the insulating core made of PUR/PIR and/or mineral wool and/or wood fibre.

What type of screws will I need?

The type and length of the screws used depends on the substructure and the panel thickness. Our accessories catalogue lists the correct screws for wood, steel or concrete. Please get in touch with your personal contact if you are unsure of which screw you need.

How do I install my panels correctly?

The installation guidelines published on our website give information on how to properly and professionally install sandwich panels. We also offer our customers training (theory and practical activities). We will announce the dates of these sessions on our website.

Can PIR+ and mineral wool panels be joined?

In principle, it is possible to join panels with a PIR+ core to those with a mineral wool core. Please speak to your BRUCHA contact for detailed technical information or information on the use of an adapter panel.

Are the panels installed vertically or horizontally?

BRUCHA Panels can be installed both vertically and horizontally, or even diagonally to give the surface a striking appearance. To do so, there must be a suitable substructure and the technical details regarding the span width clarified.

Are the joints sealed?

BRUCHA Panels are sealed in the joint area (tongue-and-groove joint). The seals are designed as shown in the respective product data sheets (e.g. BRUCHAPaneel panel PUR/PIR roof – DP – standard 3x seal for optimum condensate protection).

Can you provide fastener certificates?

Fastener certificates can be provided during the static preliminary measurements.

Does BRUCHA prepare installation plans?

Our internal construction department can draw up individual installation plans. We can also devise parts lists for the production of the sandwich panels.

Should I order reserve panels?

We always advise customers to consider adding reserve panels to their order; this will prevent you potentially receiving a panel from a different batch if you make a repeat order in future. The colours in panels from different batches may vary, but this would not be an issue if reserve panels have been ordered from the start.

How can I get the panels assembled?

We will gladly provide you with the contact details of professional panel installation firms (installer list) in your area. You can also ask your personal contact.

Would the panels count as abnormal loads?

Panels longer than 44 5/8 ft (13.6 m) count are considered abnormal loads for transport. Speak to your personal contact for the transport conditions.

How can I get my panels repaired?

Our coating technicians are always available to help you, from small scrapes to full sheet replacement. In the “Support” section you can find information on our professional repairs service “Smart Repair” as well as example repairs carried out: http://www.bruchapanels.com/us/services/downloads.html

Do you have any specifications documents?

You can find the specifications for BRUCHA PUR/PIR and fire-protection panels in the Downloads area: http://www.bruchapanels.com/us/services/downloads.html

What about window and door connections?

You can request information on our window and door connections for each specific project.

How do I connect the panels?

The “Handling” section provides information on the standard connection options, and you can find drawings in our accessories catalogue. Please also read the processing tips in the installation guidelines. You can find all the files in the Downloads area:

Get in touch with your personal contact if you require any further information.

What is the maximum size of corner panels?

Horizontal installation 90°: mineral wool max. side length 59 1/16" (1500 mm)
                                                 PUR/PIR max. side length 78 12/16" (2000 mm)

Vertical installation 90°: 236 4/16" (6000 mm)

Vertical installation radius: 236 4/16" (6000 mm)

Do I need sealing tape?

BRUCHA Panels come with necessary seals in the panel joint area as standard. You can find a summary of recommended sealing tape (e.g. wall joint seals, contact sealing tape, etc.) in our accessories catalogue, and you can read practical examples in the “Handling” section.

How are the panels cleaned?

Properly cleaning the panels ensures the panels retain their perfect appearance and quality in the long-term. It also removes microorganisms and ensures sterility by disinfecting the panels. The colour spectrum gives you some tips on how to clean the panels thoroughly to make sure they last a long time.

Please speak to your BRUCHA contact to find out more about how to maintain optimum product quality over the long term.

What are the interior and exterior of BRUCHA Panels like?

As standard, the inside of all panels is designed in RAL 9002, profile 1. You can find all the options for the exterior in our colour spectrum, which lists all the colour, profile and Surface coating options.

What if different sheet batches are used?

For partial orders or repeat orders, there may be a difference between the sheets due to new coils from different batches being used. To prevent colour changes within a frontage, axis or surface, we advise you to inform your personal contact accordingly as soon as you place your order. With PVDF coatings, colours may differ more significantly from the RAL shades. Please also ensure you have enough reserve panels, in particular for special colours and/or different construction widths (for WALL and CLADDING).

Is there a minimum order?

There is no minimum order for colours from the BASIC colour spectrum. However, due to the extra processing, a surcharge is applied to selected/personalised colours if the order is below 5382 sq ft. Minimum order volumes apply to the SUPERIOR colour spectrum. Ask your personal contact for more details.

Which colour classes are available?

The RAL surface shades are divided into colour groups (I-III, from very light to dark). You can find the file showing the colours in the Downloads area:

Which surfaces and profiles are available?

We have a wide range of coatings and surfaces available (PE Pure 25, PUR-PA 50 my, Foodsfe PVC 150 my, stainless steel, etc.); as well as an extensive array of profiles, all RAL colours are available, including iridescent and colour-changing surfaces. You can find more detailed information in our Colour Spectrum or Profile Selection in the Downloads area:

How thick are the sheets?

Standard: 0.02" (0.5 mm/0.6 mm) on the inside, 0.02 in (0.6 mm) on the exterior (other thicknesses available upon request).

How long are they designed to last for?

The anti-corrosion system on sandwich elements with steel outer layers should generally last for more than 15 years when the panels are used on a structure. This period is defined as the time up to when the first partial repair has to be carried out. If the panels are maintained correctly, this period lasts much longer.

The panels’ service life depends on the building’s location, weather influences and coating quality. According to life cycle analyses, sandwich elements with steel outer layers have a lifetime of 40-45 years, depending on their intended use.

What are the span widths?

You can find information on the span widths and lengths under Services > Downloads: http://www.bruchapanels.com/us/services/downloads.html

What are the notch lengths on the roof panels?

The following notch lengths are possible:

For DP and DP-F: 2 3/8", 3 15/18", 4 3/4", 5 7/8", 7 7/8" and 11 13/16" (60, 100, 120, 150, 200 and 300 mm)

Notch in eave: 2 3/8" (60 mm) (standard)

Notch for overlapping: DP-F at least 7 7/8" (200 mm), DP 7 7/8" (200 mm) (standard)

What are the panels’ fire rating and sound absorption class?

Mineral wool: fire behaviour according to EN 13501-1, Euroclass A2s1d0, non-combustible

PUR/PIR: Standard: fire behaviour according to EN 13501-1, Euroclass Bs2,d0, flame-retardant

Upon request: Euroclass Bs1,d0, flame-retardant

Are they kept in storage once they’ve been produced?

We produce our panels mainly for specific orders. Products can be bought from stock at our headquarters and the South branch in Großwilfersdorf. Please contact our team at these locations for more information.

Where are they made?

BRUCHA Panels are made exclusively at our headquarters/production facility in Michelhausen, Lower Austria, in an 865,000 sq ft (80,000 m2) production facility using only the most modern systems.

Is there a difference between a PUR/PIR insulating core and a mineral wool core?

In accordance with EN 13501, panels with a mineral wool core are non-combustible, so they are much more fire-resistant. Sandwich panels that have a PUR/PIR core are extremely good heat insulators and are exceptionally lightweight.
